Expanded Polystyrene is a thermoplastic, the recycled EPS will return to make Polystyrene. There are two main methods of recycling used EPS waste: Burning and Granulation.
　　Granulation refers to EPS briquetting machines, foam compressors and recycling EPS waste into PS particles. It can be used in the manufacture of plastic products, such as racks, flower pots, video and furniture, building materials and insulation materials and so on. What ever which way we take, recycling EPS premise needs to be compressed, to reduce the cost of the entire recycling process. Use a foam compressor to compress, processin method can be caused by heating the dense (hot densification), or no thermal compression (cold crushing and cold compression). Cold crushing and cold compression refers to the compressin of EPS machines, the higher density of EPS compression block. In general, the compressed volume is the original 1/40, work 24 hours a day, the yield is about 5 to 20 metric tons. The compression of the EPS makes the transport and distribution of more cost-effective.
After polystyrene recycling, about 50 % is used in the manufacture of EPS packaging. The others was used in the construction of daily material, such as a wall, ceiling, deck, electronic products, automotive products, agricultural products office supplies, egg cartons, packing and bean bag and so on. And as the raw material made of polystyrene foam polystyrene non PS plastic grain can be made into a simple plastic products.
But not all types of EPS can be recycled. If you want to recover EPS and get higher profit, please ensure that the EPS waste is clean, without sticker, grease, dirt, transparent tape, labels and so on. In the recovery process, the better method is to EPS the classification processing, for difficult to remove the stains or label, we should take other appropriate measures for recycling, such as packaging materials to manufacturing crushing.
